Life Skills (for women): Tuesday, 1:15-2:30 PM
Life Skills is a program that seeks to share the love of Christ with women in the church and neighbourhood through the learning of important practical skills as a community. The goal is that women will grow in confidence and in dignity. Our group learns hands-on activities like sewing, mending, hygiene and finances; personal skills like forgiveness and relationships; and social skills such as manners and etiquette. Every meeting also includes a time of spiritual reflection and devotion.
Adult Bible Study: Tuesday, 7:00-8:30 PM
At Adult Bible study, we spend the first half hour singing, after which we break into small groups to study the Bible. Leaders facilitate conversation through a different chapter of the Bible each week. Afterwards we have time for coffee and fellowship. This Bible study runs year round; during the summer months meetings are held every other week.
Reformed Christianity: Available Upon Request
Led by Pastor Paul, the Reformed Christianity class seeks to help adults who are coming into Streetlight understand the doctrines and teachings that are presented at Streetlight (our confessions and creeds). Occasionally we go out together for a picnic or other fun activities. Please speak to Pastor Paul to request this class.
Day Light Women’s Bible Study: Thursday, 12:30-2:00 PM
Day Light Women’s Bible study provides a safe and welcoming atmosphere where women can come together and study God’s Word. The program is designed for women to explore and put into practice what the Bible teaches about being a woman of God. After our Bible study, we have coffee and snacks, and time to build relationships and encourage each other.
